Case Study – Customised Fines Separation Unit for underground mine

We radically modified our Fines Separation Unit (FSU280) for an underground mine.

It can now be folded down during transport to allow for operator visibility. We also integrated a polyurethane bumper bar to prevent damage to the unit when locating it over a conveyor belt. The pneumatic controls are simpler to meet our client’s specifications.

Video – Fines Separation Units

This video shows how a Brain Industries' Fines Separation Unit works

Our fines separation units dewater almost any hard ore, rock, stone, sand, or other contaminants and hazardous materials within water soluble clays or silts. The end product has a typical moisture content of 25% and can be discharged directly on to a conveyor belt, hopper, or secondary dewatering screen. Choose from two models or let us custom build one for you.

The benefits of polyurethane rubber pulley lagging

Polyurathane rubber backed lagging
Brain Industries’ polyurethane rubber backed pulley lagging

We’re the only Australian manufacturer of polyurethane rubber backed lagging. It is often used for problem wear pulleys as well as non drive pulleys.

Polyurethane is low wearing so it lasts 5 times longer than traditional rubber lagging. Read our case study which shows how for one client poly rubber was 5 times cheaper over 10 years than rubber lagging. .

Our Australian made lagging lasts longer, performs better and saves you money in the long run. It comes in a range of options and sizes to meet your needs. We also specialise in the use of FRAS rubber for underground mines and tunnels.

Aluminium boat building begins

Our first custom built Moda aluminium boat is well underway for a very happy client. This is the first of a number of orders for these gun, next level, leisure and fishing boats.
