Welcoming Ben to the team

We recently welcomed Ben Stewart as our new heavy industrial electrician.

With extensive experience across Hunter Valley mining operations and major power stations, Ben strengthens our in-house electrical capability, supporting safer installs, efficient troubleshooting and reliable project delivery for our customers.

Welcome aboard!

Stone Dusters built for underground conditions

Our team recently completed the steelworks for a large stone dusting unit for our customer Strata Worldwide, designed for underground coal deployment.

Heavy fabrication remains a core capability at Brain, with major structural frames and systems built locally in Carrington for real mining conditions.

For customers, that means:

  • Compliant builds designed for underground use
  • Practical fabrication that understands site realities
  • Durable equipment built to last in tough environments

If you’ve got upcoming projects we’re always happy to scope and plan with you.

Hydraguard – Practical protection for hydraulic risk

Hydraguard continues to be one of those quiet achievers. Once mining and OEM customers trial it on site, it often becomes a long-term fixture, with many re-ordering for years.

Several NSW underground and open cut operations have recently installed Hydraguard systems, including a unit configured for a mobile miner.

Built from rubber and stainless steel, Hydraguard is designed to protect workers from pinpoint hydraulic oil bursts, helping reduce injury risk, equipment damage and unplanned downtime.

We’ve included a short video above showing Hydraguard in action, take a look to learn more!
