Brain Industries is now an official supporter of the Hunter Manufacturing Awards (HMA).
The annual awards has been revamped this year and streamlined to seven categories.
Brain Industries managing director Gillian Summers said the COVID-19 pandemic had shone a spotlight on the importance of Australian manufacturing. Ms Summers said the theme of this year’s Hunter Manufacturing Awards – to celebrate resilience – is fitting.
“The Hunter’s manufacturing sector is alive and well,” Ms Summers said.
“Local manufacturers need to compete but also support one another and celebrate our collective strength and achievements,” she said.
“The Hunter Manufacturing Awards’ mission is to ‘inspire vibrant and enduring manufacturing in the Hunter’ – that’s a mission we at Brain Industries want to promote and support.”
Ms Summers said that the team at Brain Industries has been working harder to pivot and take the opportunities that the pandemic brings. It is exporting more pneumatic industrial pumps and has diversified its product offerings to include load sensing washers. It now manufactures, refurbishes and services conveyor pulleys at its Carrington engineering facility.
The Awards will be held on Friday, 23rd October 2020, at Merewether Surfhouse. Applications close August 31.
