For the second year running, Brain Industries is a finalist for Manufacturer of the Year (< 50 employees) at the upcoming Hunter Manufacturing Awards (HMA).
Brain is one of 25 finalists across 13 categories.
Managing director Gillian Summers said the nomination is a credit to Brain’s genius team.
Gillian said Brain Industries had continued to manufacture during the COVID-19 pandemic. Brain has expanded its FRAS polyurethane and polyurethane products and engineered solutions particularly for mining sector parts. A new, exclusive, supplier agreement with Strata Worldwide USA is taking its pumps into the USA, Canada and South American markets. It is working with other organisations to revive the Hunter’s boat building and ship building sector.
She said the Hunter has a proud manufacturing history and COVID-19 has shone a spotlight on the importance of local manufacturing.
“Brain Industries provides genius manufactured solutions to help businesses, in Australia and oversea, to pump and transfer materials, clean up, and keep their workforce safe,” Gillian said.
“HMA, and the awards, are an important way for local manufacturers to come together to celebrate and showcase our excellence,” she said.
“Thanks to HMA and sponsors for making these awards possible. Good luck to all the finalists.”
The Hunter Manufacturing Awards seek to inspire vibrant and enduring manufacturing in the Hunter. Brain was highly commended at the 2020 HMA Awards.
HMA will announce the winners on October 15, 2021.
